The scheme seeks to expand the site's use as a residential development by creating a terrace of 10 family units. The size and massing of the brick and timber clad volume has been carefully designed to integrate within this established residential area of a mixed character ranging from large post war housing blocks and its immediate context of 1930s semi-detached houses. Taking design cues from the surrounding context the scheme embodies a 'contemporary vernacular' approach.
